Am I crazy, or is there more to prestige in Black Ops than what the game says?

I swear that since I have prestiged in COD Black Ops there are things that are different that the game doesn't mention. Improvements that are beyond things that can be attributed to just me getting experience. Like a dramatic tracking motion in the sights when there is an enemy, that I never had before my first prestige. Am I just an idiot or is this something real.
