HELP i set the contrast for a video game in game and it transferred to the whole machine!?

I was playing Diablo 2 Expansion and I set the game contrast all the way up so i could see a dark area better. When I exited the game the whole computer's contrast had turned all the way up. Is their a way to fix this? All user accounts on the machine are like this
