Diablo 2 getting started help?

I just started playing again after quitting for 2-3years and i want to make a good character thats really cheap and could mf everything in hell. im think about a sorc cause they got teleport and i dont have to worry about enimga. any suggestions thanks. also can you tell me the build and gear i should get.
