How to make your Mac application play videos, using Xcode.?

I am building an application that uses a quicktime viewer to display a video, the only problem is that I am still new to this stuff and still learning the basics. I have been searching online for a tutorial or some information and all I found is out dated or only for IPhone SDK. Can somebody please help me out or at least direct me to a tutorial explaining how. Thanks!
